Jack Wilshere admits he would “love” to see Arsenal sign Luis Suárez from Liverpool this summer.

Arsène Wenger confirmed on Saturday that the Gunners have made a bid for the want-away Reds striker but refused to be drawn any further on the north London club’s pursuit of the forward.
The 26-year-old’s future has been a source of constant speculation since he made public his desire to quit Anfield after the end of last season.

And Wilshere has revealed that he would be delighted to see the Uruguay international, who featured during Steven Gerrard’s testimonial on Saturday, arrive at Emirates Stadium this summer.
“He’s a top player and he showed that last season,” Wilshere told BT Sport. “He brings something different to the team and scores goals.
“He’s a great player, I’d love to see him here. But you never know.
“I can’t talk about other players. He’s still playing for another team so it’s disrespectful. We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks.”
Wilshere also insisted that Wenger has the full backing of the Arsenal squad, despite the Frenchman’s failure to bring in any players other than Yaya Sanogo this summer.
“New signings and big players always bring confidence,” he continued. “The players get excited when they hear the names being splashed about.
“We’ll see what the manager does. We trust him and the club. I’m sure there will be some players coming in.”
