Vice-President Namadi Sambo has said Nigeria
needs about $450 million from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to
expand its electricity generation capacity to reach 20,000 megawatts.
A statement issued in Abuja by the Senior Special Assistant to the
Vice-President on Media, Malam Umar Sani, said Sambo disclosed this
Sunday when he received the President of the IDB, Dr Ahmed Mohammed Ali,
in Makkah.

Man Utd Reject Chelsea's Second Rooney Bid
Manchester United have rejected a second bid from Chelsea for striker Wayne Rooney.
Chelsea made an offer for the England striker but it was rejected straight away.
A United spokesman said: "A bid was received on Sunday and immediately rejected. Our position remains that he is not for sale."
